This song is to support the social network Facebook…
But exist another one against it…
¿Wich one do you prefer?
My opinion: I like Facebook, indeed, I’ve to admit that I connect daily to look what my friends did, but it’s true all what they say in both songs and they are so fun, the rhythim, it’s so much better in the facebook hater’s song. What about Facebook? everyone can use it how they want, it’s up to you!
Ben Lee is an australian singer that I discover with his optimistic song Catch My Disease. I discover the song some years ago and I look for other songs too as My Guitar (dumbudambududubudabudera…) or Cigarretes Will Kill You. Their songs are absolutelly pop and fun, fake simple, that kind of songs that make you smile eventhough you spend the worst day in your life.
Today I listen Catch My Disease again and I decide to look for the rest of the songs of the album where tihis songs appears. The album it’s called Awake is the New Sleep (2005) and all have many differents songs great all. If you found it, enjoy!
This is Ben Lee’s website and finally, here you have the video of his great song:
They’re called I’m From Barcelona but are from Sweeden. Why? As I read somewhere, i think that the choir began when some of the members met in Barcelona when they’re here for a ERASMUS… something like that. Well, what it’s important it’s that their music is fun, simple and great!!!!
Their single We’re from Barcelona sounds a lot in the city few years ago when they play on Primavera Sound Festival. This weekend I listen it again so I look for their complete CD and I found it on this link, enjoy!
You can visit their website too! And look this video:
We set out to change the world and just changed ourselves
Synopsis
“Velvet Goldmine” is a rock opera of sorts, as the famous movie to “Citizen Kane”, the film tells the story of Brian Slade (Jonathan Rhys-Meyers), an enormously popular glam rock star and his relationship with his wife, Mandy Slade (Toni Collette) and his love affair with the glam rock star Curt Wild (Ewan McGregor), al this, by the eye of Arthur Stuart (Christian Bale) who was a fan of the glam movement when he was young and ten years later, he is a journalist who have to write about the fake murder or Slade. The film is a combination of documentary, concert, and music video, which combine to present the film in a non-linear fashion, an ‘experience’ movie.
During Stuart’s search, however, we are provided with a glimpse into the world of glam rock. Slade is shown as being ultimately a construct, transformed by an ambitious record agent into a popular rock star. He is invented by his record company, and soon rises to fame as a part of the brief English phenomenon of glam rock. Although married, Slade and Mandy have an open relationship, and are both openly bisexual. The rocker Curt Wild enters Slade’s life, and he falls in love. Wild, based around fantasies of Iggy Pop, goes to England to record with Slade, and the two men are marketed “like a pair of 40s starlets, a Spencer and Tracy for the 70s”2. However, the two men’s love affair soon turns sour and Wild leaves Slade. Slade, despondent, plans his assassination in order to get himself out of his current tour, and afterwards, slips into drug abuse and depression. Soon after, glam rock itself dies out.

I watch and listen some reports of this movie when it was in theaters. Then, some people talks my about, so, it becomes one of the movies to watch if you have the opportunity. Today, I watch in on cinematk (a cable channel) furthermore in orginial version, great! Great explained, visually, the songs… it’s an interesting movie that I recommend you! The soundtrack too, it’s good and it’t not necessary to be a glam rock fan, I’m not.
Who can tell that he or she doesn’t know any Beatles song? There’s no doubt about they’re one of the greatest bands of the last century. Many years ago, I just know some of their songs (the famoust) and really, I don’t pay a lot of attention to them. But in the last years, months, weeks and days, people I met, movies I watched and songs I listened, makes me discover much more about Lennon, McCartney, Harrison and Starr.
One of the last (and greatest) is this, The Beatles Anthology (1995-1996). A project consisting of: eitgh chapters of docummentary series, three albums with never-before-realased Beatles material (as inedits songs, bootlegs, demos, etc.) and a monographic book.
The album’s cover is created from collage of posters and covers and the songs are chronologically ordered, including statements between the songs. It’s something to have physically, but, at the moment, as should be difficult and expensive to find, you can download it:
This is the second post that I dedicated to this german band, who called this blog with one of their songs. Ok! ¿Why I talk about them again? Because Desiderata send me a link to download the complete discography of this band, what I was looking for a lot from of years ago!

Imperfecta it’s the new album of Ainhoa, who was the winner of the second edition of Operacion Triunfo. She was not my favourite singer of the programme but with this iniciative, she goes up on my list. The new it’s that she offered for free download her new album before been on the stores. Something that a lot of musicians do but I think that neverin Spain.
Is a good thing because I am tired of hearing (from SGAE-friendlys) that the Internet appears to be the apocalypse of the music and culture. Nothing more unreal, now I listen much more music than ever, what happens is that they don’t want to resign to the money they make with the record sales, that’s the truth.
This is an stop-motion short film that I did for Christmas and edite this days. How I couldn’t create a coherent story, I use all my old toys and did waht my mind dictates. That’s the result…

All about the girl who came to stay?
She’s the kind of girl you want so much
It makes you sorry, Still you don’t regret a single day.
Synopsis
A love story set against the backdrop of the 1960s amid the turbulent years of anti-war protest, mind exploration and rock ‘n roll, from the dockyards of Liverpool to the creative psychedelia of Greenwich Village, from the riot-torn streets of Detroit to the killing fields of Vietnam.
Star-crossed lovers, Jude (Jim Sturgess) and Lucy (Evan Rachel Wood), along with a small group of friends and musicians, are swept up into the emerging anti-war and counterculture movements, with “Dr. Robert” (Bono) and “Mr. Kite” (Eddie Izzard) as their guides. Tumultuous forces outside their control ultimately tear the young lovers apart, forcing Jude and Lucy - against all odds - to find their own way back to each other.
Director: Julie Taymor Producer(s): Jennifer Todd, Matthew Gross, Suzanne Todd Screenplay: Dick Clement, Ian La Frenais Cast: Evan Rachel Wood, Jim Sturgess, Joe Anderson
