This is a group of teenage from the camping where I spend the weekend and summer, Camping Frontera. They arare bit crazy but I have affections because I know them from years ago, and they are some kind of little brothers for me.
This is a band from Denmark. I discover them on a MTV reality when the final award was act in an Anastacia’s concert with a cover of Sick and tired. For me their cover was the best, but finally they were finalist. Time after, I disvover they’re website and other songs, all them great. Today, I don’t know how I discover the original videoclip you see above, from the song Sham On, and I discover too that they’re preparing new album, with a new clip, Youniverse, avaiable on Myspace. If only they could take their music to Spain…
Yersterday night I went to see the catalan cover of this musical with music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim and play by James Lapine, acted by the theatre company Dagoll Dagom. In the first minutes, it’s many strange watch all the famous fairy tales taht way, but then, you are into the story and enjoy it. Finally, the message it’s great: not ever the happy ending it’s so happy at all.
Finally, in spite of the show it’s great, the title of best Dagoll Dagom’s show it’s the first that I see, the second time(the first was on 1988) of a musical version of Mar i Cel, by Angel GuimerĂ . Here you have a clip.
Ofelia, a young girl who moves with her mother, Carmen, into the home of Captain Vidal in an abandoned mill in the middle of dark, dangerous woods. Vidal is leading his team of soldiers against resistance fighters- and he will do whatever is necessary to kill every last one of them. As Vidal bosses around the pregnant Carmen, a flying creature leads Ofelia through a garden labyrinth and into an underground cave ruled by Pan who believes that Ofelia might be the lost princess of this strange yet magical place. To prove she is royalty, Ofelia must complete three tasks, each more difficult and terrifying than the previous one. Meanwhile, Vidal is becoming more and more paranoid, torturing and murdering seemingly at will.

The best of this movie is the atmosphere, the art and the transitions between the scenes. The story is great too, with two stories, the historical and the fantastic, that seems unconnected in a first time but they aren’t. Altough, it’s quite predictable.

Last saturday morning I have the chance to whatch this amazing documentary that I think, was projected on the last In-edit festival, but I don’t watch it then.
The documentary is about the last days of the John Lennon’s live, when he and his wife, Yoko Ono, were investigated for the CIA and the FBI for their message of peace and against the Vietnam war. I really didn’t know a lot of him apart of that he was one of the Beatles, created the amazing song Imagine and was a hippie. That documentary makes me discover a great celebrity who use his popularity disseminate a message of peace everytime he could. Special mention for the sitting on the bed of an hotel in Amsterdam with his wife: handsome and brilliant! Furthermore, this movie makes me discover a lot of Lennon’s songs that i never listen before and I have to download one of this days.
To look for more info, here you have the movie trailer and the (bit confusing and desordened) documentary website. But if you want John Lennon’s info better visits his official website with the bio, music, videos, drawings and more.
Finally, and related with Lennon and The Beatles, I advance that one of this days I’ll watch Across The Universe (directed by Julie Taymor) a musical movie with the Beatles songs. When I watch it, I’ll talk you about on the blog.
This is, as the song says my private wonderland that you can visit and comment to see movies, TV shows, artist and songs that I discover and want to share here. In Portfolio you can see own audiovisual projects and audiovisual projects I've worked in.
