This is the last post of this first month of blog’s life and two changes:
· New header designed by me from the Snowboarder’s film poster.
· New kind of recommendations… what? still reading…
Till now I recommend music, movies, TV-shows or theatre plays but I never recomend places. This is the first time I’ll do.
Ribera Salada (Salt river) is a wonderful place , I went since I was a baby because we where in a nearest camping. Then, when I was 5 years old, we didn’t go no more, but without an important reason really. But we have recordings from de Ribera’s Salada days and, five years ago, watching it (singing Mi mono Amelio y yo…) we want to go back and. The ground it’s rocky and, this way, the water is so crystal and transparent and some parts of the river are deep enough to jump from the rocks or the bridge. It’s a really fantastic place. I just hope it not being a tourist place… could it be?
HOW TO GO ?
Ribera Salada is in Catalonia (Spain) you have to go to a village called Solsona, direction Pyrenees, and leave the road in the diversion called Pont del Clop. Some kilometres and curves and you arrive… Enjoy it!
This is the poster wich I create the header. This is a french movie called SNOWBOARDER, by Olias Braco. It have incredible snowboard’s scense, but the argument it’s quite poor. Some kind of sex, drugs and rock and roll, but with snow. But at least it’s entertaining…
As you set out for Ithaka
hope your road is a long one,
full of adventure, full of discovery.
Laistrygonians, Cyclops,
angry Poseidon - don’t be afraid of them:
you’ll never find things like that one on your way
as long as you keep your thoughts raised high,
as long as a rare excitement
stirs your spirit and your body.
Laistrygonians, Cyclops,
wild Poseidon - you won’t encounter them
unless you bring them along inside your soul,
unless your soul sets them up in front of you.
Hope your road is a long one.
May there be many summer mornings when,
with what pleasure, what joy,
you enter harbours you’re seeing for the first time;
may you stop at Phoenician trading stations
to buy fine things,
mother of pearl and coral, amber and ebony,
sensual perfumes of every kind -
as many sensual perfumes as you can;
and may you visit many Egyptian cities
to learn and go on learning from their scholars.
Keep Ithaka always in your mind.
Arriving there is what you’re destined for.
But don’t hurry the journey at all.
Better if it lasts for years,
so you’re old by the time you reach the island,
wealthy with all you’ve gained on the way,
not expecting Ithaka to make you rich.
Ithaka gave you the marvellous journey.
Without her you wouldn’t have set out.
She has nothing left to give you now.
And if you find her poor, Ithaka won’t have fooled you.
Wise as you will have become, so full of experience,
you’ll have understood by then what these Ithakas mean.
The most exciting, challenging and significant relationship of all is the one you have with yourself. And if you find someone to love the you you love, well, that’s just fabulous.
Carrie Bradshaw
I think it doesn’t need introductions, just enjoy it if you don’t yet!
Here you have the complete website of Sex and the city:
How can I forget to reccomend the band taht gives the title to the blog? I’m talking about, I think that dissolved, german band Glow. The title of the blog comes from their song President of Boarderland from Every Single Day (2001).
You can’t listen clips from their better songs in this link. And you have too the Hungarian Glow’s fansite with photos, albums, lyrics and more… Really sad that their songs don’t have a grat success here in Spain. But they are great! Check it out!
¡Happy, happy, happy! Their oficial website is avaiable agin from a season it wasn’t. That means that the band comes back? I hope so!

If you never seen this movie, do it because it’s absolutely recommendable. Great actors, histories and soundtrack for the nicest movie situated on Chistmas times in the last times.

A flash come to my mind and I remember a band that I see few times in MTV and i thing It’s great but I never remember them to find more information when I’m looking at Internet. The band I’m talking about it’s called Hard-fi. I don’t know much more than some songs, but whats relly important about the music. Look at the songs that I listen:
I don’t know how to begin to recommend this Comedy TV Show and i haven’t a lot of time. This is a comedy that begins in BBC’s radio and then int TV. Here, in Spain, you can see it in Canal + and you can buy it too the 1º season in DVD from a days ago (if someone would gift me for Christmas…). Look at the website for more info (where are talking about an Amercan version, I cant’ wait to see it), clicking here.
And here you have videos. Any of them are subtituled in spanish, so you have no excuse!
I write so fast because I have a lot of things to do. I just want to recommend this Katie Melua’s album. If you never listen a song from her, do it now. She has a nice, sweet and incredible voice, and her songs are between blues and jazz (I’m not the best to recognize the music styles). Here you have the two most incredible songs and videoclips from this alum: Nine Million Bycicles and I Cried for You. Enjoy it!
This is, as the song says my private wonderland that you can visit and comment to see movies, TV shows, artist and songs that I discover and want to share here. In Portfolio you can see own audiovisual projects and audiovisual projects I've worked in.
